Thursday, Nov. 17th  Parent-Teacher Interviews 4:00-6:30

Friday, Nov. 18th       Parent-Teacher Interviews 9:00-11:30 (No     School)

Kindergarten Registration will be held the week of November 21st – 25th.  Children must be 5 years old before December 31, 2017.  Please register your child at the school office during this week!

We will be having a Book Fair.  Students can preview the books on Wednesday the 16th and purchase on the 17th.  The book fair will be opened to parents during the interviews.

Upcoming for October, 2016

October 10th – Happy Thanksgiving  (no school)

October 12th – Cross Country Zones at Mill River  Races begin at 12:30 p.m. and students will be back in time for dismissal.

October 14th – HPV Grade 6 needles, K-2 English & FI Field trip

October 17th – Boys and Girls Soccer Tournament.  Boys in Bloomfield and girls in St. Louis.  Games begin at 12:30

October 19th – School Photos

October 17-21st – Literacy Week.  We will have a day dedicated to Reading on Friday, 21st.  This will also be a Pajama Day :)

October 22nd – Provincial Cross Country Meet at Mill River

October 27 & 28th – Convention (no school)

October 31st – Free Milk Day

  • Home & School Meeting on Tuesday, April 5th at 4:00
  • EYE for September Kindergarten students on April 12 & 13th
  • No School on Friday, April 15th (School Effectiveness)
  • No School on Friday, April 29th (In-Service)

The Timmy Tour will be at our school on Tuesday, April 12th at 10:10.  We are going to have a “coin challenge”.  From April 4th – 8th, the class who collects the “heaviest” amount of coins will win an ice cream party in April.  Coins will be weighed on Friday.

Celebrate RBC Sports Week in Canada with these FREE Events

Free Public Skates at the following arenas on November 15th:
Tignish – 4pm-5pm
Alberton – 1:50pm-2:50pm

Free Family Fun Night at Maple Leaf Curling Club, O’Leary on Monday, November 16 at 7pm. Come out with your friends or family and give the sport of curling a try! All you need is a clean pair of sneakers, children under 12 must wear helmets. Contact Alison at 859-8856 or for more information.

Friday, November 20 is National Jersey Day! – Show your love and support for sport by wearing a jersey to school, work or play!

Mini Olympics
Saturday November 21 from 1-3pm, Children ages 5-12 at Ecole Pierre-Chaisson (Deblois). Children will be split into teams to participate in fun games and sports. Cost is FREE, pre-registration is required by contacting Lauren at 859-8856 or

Alberton Bowling Alley OPEN HOUSE
Saturday, November 21 from 2-5pm come enjoy free bowling at Alberton Bowling. Children must be accompanied by an adult and it will be first come first serve. Contact Lauren at 859-8856 or for more information.
